St. Sawirus(Severus) Ibn-Al Moqafaa
St. Severus was a writer in the Arabic language & started his career as a scribe in the Arab administrator of his time. He studied for many years in the monastery where he took his vows. So profound was his knowledge of Coptic Orthodox tradition, exegetic science, and even Greek philosophy. He was the contemporary of 3 Alexandrian Popes after Macarius I; one of them being Pope Abraam ibn Zaraa the Syrian who was patriarch at the time of the miracle of the moving of the Mokatam moutain.
